The Best One Day Rafting Trip in All of Utah!

This trip is located in Dinosaur National Monument adjacent to the city of Vernal, Utah, a short drive from Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area and about a two hour drive east of Park City Resort in the northeastern region of Utah. It has the closest best rafting to Park City or Salt Lake City. Adrift offers trips every day from mid May through mid September.

A Great Family Outdoor Adventure

This is an ideal addition to a family vacation, as children 6 years and older are welcome. We teach people how to raft every day. Experience the excitement of paddle rafts, where you grab a paddle and help maneuver the boat with the aid of a professional guide. This is by far our most popular mode because you participate in the action and no previous experience is needed. We also offer oar rafts (where the guide does all rowing) by request.

Raft 9 miles through Split Mountain Gorge a 1,500 foot canyon carved by the Green River. To the geologists or nature lover it is one of the most spectacular geological areas in the west. Colorful rock strata range from the Morrison formation, which contains the Dinosaur fossils and is over 140 million years old, to the Madison formation almost 400 mil. years old.

Surrounded by some of the most unique geology in the world. This whitewater rafting trip is the perfect mix of fun waves and rapids. In nine miles, there are several class three rapids. You will enjoy this rafting trip if you are a seasoned rafter or a first time river runner.

Enjoy a catered riverside lunch prepared by your professional whitewater rafting guides. Your rafting guides will educate you about Dinosaur National Monument's unique geology, wildlife and incredible history.

Meet at Adrift Adventures Rafting Center at 8:30 AM

Adrift Adventures Rafting Center is located 9 miles east of Vernal, Utah on US Hwy 40 in Jensen, Utah, just outside the Dinosaur National Monument entrance. En route to the put in for the rafting trip, Rainbow Park, your small expedition, limited to 25 people daily by the National Park Service, will stop to view 800 year old Indian rock art. Upon arrival at the river put-in trip leader provides a safety orientation and then you start rafting through Split Mountain Gorge. A catered riverside lunch is provided. You will arrive at the river trip takeout around 2-3pm and you are shuttled back to your car at the Adrift Adventures Rafting Center between 3-4pm.
